Adding an upgraded Factory Radio

My friend just purchased a 99 Acord EX. It currently has the single din cassette with with alpine cd changer. She wants to get rid of of the cassette and changer in favor of this double din factory radio.

Also, I saw this one from an 03 Element. Will this work in her Accord?

Thanks in advance.

thats hard to say for sure. youd have to compare the harness that will plug into it, see if they match. get the dimensions for each to make sure it even fits right. i see the CRV one has those mounting holes on the side and the Accord one doesnt, that might be an issue right there.

I think your friend's 99 EX has side mounting holes with a front bolted bracket. If the holes on the element line up with the bracket holes, either may work. The slot under the radio has to go to fit the double DIN radio though. I swapped a single DIN radio into my gf's 01 LX and the standard side bolts lined up with the bracket, so I didn't have to use an installation kit. She was happy to keep the door on her slot. The installation kits do not have the door.

No girlfriend slot jokes please. I couldn't think of a better way to describe it.

Not sure about the wire harnesses.

wire harness is the big thing. you can make anything physically fit with a little work.

and even with the harness, you can always build your own with an amp connector...or molex, or something similar.
