Aftermarket Radio

I want to install my Alpine CDA 9856 into my 04 Accord. I been doing research and noticed that alot of harnesses disable the dcc option. I found a kit on crutchfield that just replaces the cd holder below the stock radio. Do you guys know if i would still be able to use the dcc option?? Are there any other kits out there that i can use?? Here is the link to the kit i found:

Thanks

RE: Aftermarket Radio

From the commentary below, coppied from your link, I'd say yes ..... just don't try to put a screen in there. Also, from reading other commentary from the link that you posted, it seems that some of the mounting points in the car as well as the kit are kinda flimsy and may require reinforcement to reduce rattling.

This kit fits like a glove to replace the factory compartment. It matches the color of the dashboard and when a CD receiver is installed, it looks very smooth and professional. However, I do wish that the receiver slot would have been a bit lower, directly in the middle of the kit. I mean, I really didn't care too much about the extra pocket for miscellaneous things. I purchased an Alpine IVA-D300 and when I open the monitor, the display couldn't fold out properly because I have dual-climate controls built into my dash and there is a slight "hump" that blocks the monitor from completely folding out. I had to purchase this kit, then custom and cut it so that it would work out. Overall, this kit is great if you want a normal CD receiver, but as far as multimedia station receivers go, they should've had an alternative kit.
