Aiming the vented/port enclosed subwoofer
 

hi guys,
I have a 2/12 vented/ported enclosed subwoofer in my coupe accord 2006. Any ideas which way is the ported facing to the driver or the rear of the car. Which way sound better? I know with the regular enclosed subs, speaker face to the rear, but with the vented port which way will give me the nice bass..

port direction doesn't really matter. it's the sub that makes the sound, not the port. make sure the sub faces the rear and you'll be fine. if you want you can make some sort of pass through from the trunk to the cabin. In my old car, i removed the rear speakers and just left an empty hole.

Arg, I saw an article on this awhile ago about how to face a subwoofer. It could have been on here so try a little searching. Sorry:( I suppose just try it out and see which you like best.

Cuz my car is a coupe, facing the woofers toward the trunk does make the bass sound better flat deep. if i faced it toward the driver, it didn't sound as good as the other way around, just more noise in the car. I guess the subs need more room to breath the air, so facing toward the trunk is the best.
