Default Amped Up!

Got a small 45X4 amp, a JL AudioCleansweep, and 12ga. wires to the four main speakers. The head unit was left stock. It sounds very nice. The tweets in the dash run off of the OEM head unit.

Nice, neat, and out of the way

Clean work under the hood also.

Very very clean! I like it!

Did you drill the hole for the master gain fitment? And it's a 4-channel amp correct? PM me like a guide or what not...because I really want to clean up my sound.

Darn. I wonder if they removed your stock head unit to install a cable that runs to the amp.

Yes they did. It requires converters to take the signal to the Clean Sweep then to the amp.

very nice looking indeed!
That is exactly the plan I have for my 03 coupe. Amp (Precision Power ax400) powering MB Quart 6.5 components and MB Quart 6x9's. Im going to wait and see how the sound quality is before I go and buy the Cleansweep. If everything is kosher ill go without it. If not, eh, one more toy to buy!
Im getting my install done Tuesday so I will post pics when it gets done.

Did you upgrade to new speakers or are you using the factory ones?

I ain't gonna tell ya'. Let's just say it was a chunk of change and I don't have it dialed in yet to my satisfaction. It sounds good but I want great! The amp & the clean sweep were $600--------no cables, no installation, no tax,so guess from there.

Do you have the gain for the rear speakers turned down so that the music sounds louder from the front?

The controls on the OEM head unit still work as they should which is why I chose the Clean Sweep. I still have it +1 to the front asI did before.
I have not piddled with the controls on the amp yet. It sounds very good but not quite to my satisfaction......yet. That could very well be the speakers themselves but it's too soon to tell. I haven't had enough time to play with it yet.
