Bose system, intermittent sound problem?

hi I have a year 2000 Accord with the Bose system. When I turn it on the sound goes on and off and pops and buzzes for the first 5 minutes or so. Then its fine after that. I dont know if its a problem with the Head Unit or the Amp or something else. I would be grateful for any suggestions please.

RE: Bose system, intermittent sound problem?

From personal experience and from what I have heard, these speakers are doing what Bose speakers are notorious for doing, This pops and buzzeswill probably only get worse until you replace them. Assuming those speakers came with your car they are now 7 years old and these pops and buzzes are because the speakers are deteriorated from sun, other factors andprobablymisues since most people think that if they have a bosesystem that it should be turned way up, when in reality these systems are not meant to"blow up the neighborhood" but areto be used forsensible listening) Myexperience with a bose system in my 1990 300zx was acontinually worsening cracking in the speaker...it only lasted for a bit in the beginning but then it got more constant. Suggestion: inspect speakers and wiring...and if that does not helpreplace them with some comparable ~60-100 pr. speakers than replace the HU. I know it might be hard to let go of that "Bose" but trust me you'll be happier if you put in your own speakers to your liking.
