brands of AMPS?
Sorry about the other post, but i was wondering if the RCAbrand for the subwoofer is good? I saw it for $140 and it give 1000watts

RE: brands of AMPS?
the 1000w rca amp appears to be a nice amp and dosen't seem to be overrated spec wise. 1000w model is their highest model. for $140 I feel that you can do better if you look for deals on ebay

RE: brands of AMPS?
Ive never heard of RCA amps. 1000 watt amp for $140 is cheap - too cheap. Id be wary.

Amp wise, I not only look at the brand and reviews, but also whether or not it has a built in fan.
This is just my opinion, but I would not buy an amp that did not have a fan built in. I know heat sinks work and everything, but fans just seem so much better. |
RE: brands of AMPS?
well actually this one have it build in fan

RE: brands of AMPS?
Fans are good if youre running a very big amp but not really necessary for small or mid sized gear. So long as the amp has sufficient air space around it, it will cool fine.
Not knocking fans, but theyre not a necessity. Ive never owned an amp with a fan and have never had one overheat. So long as you set the gains properly and dont overdrive it, it shouldnt be a problem. |
