Bunch of questions

i was wondering what would be a sub good match for a kicker zx 750.1. it's actuallt rated by kicker for 949 watts if that makes a difference. people keep suggesting that i get an L7 but i would prefer a sub that has some sort of SQ.

would 1 12" that was rated for a 1000w sound better or worse than 2 12"s that were rated for 500 a piece.

if im getting one dvc sub with the kicker amp i would want it to be a 4 ohm sub to wire it to 2 ohms correct? also if i got two subs would that change anything like would i want 2 ohm subs instead?

does having an aftermarket head unit actually make that much of a difference for bass. my stock unit sounds better with my mids than most aftermarket ones iv heard...

thank you

That is a great amp, I love my 750.1, and yes it is slightly underrated but not much. My amp also came tested from kicker in the high 900's. I'm not sure how clean that signal was, but it can handle that power at least.

Finally someone with some logic. Yes your thinking right, a single sub will sound better can be louder than two of the same subs on the same power. My single CVX out pounds a lot of subs and still has nice SQ. But if I had the money I would go for a 10" or even 12" JL W7. The W7 is hands down the ultimate SQ sub. Even a 12" or a 13" W6 is not a bad choice. But if you can afford the W7 you will NOT be disapointed, I assure you.

Ok what your noticing is the built in EQ in stock HU's that is supposed to make the stock speakers sound big and boomy. This EQ is horrible for getting good sound, as you can never get a truly flat signal. Sure it may make your bass louder, but with some proper tuning it's nothing you can't do even without a real EQ.

No problem, let us know what you decide on.

10W7 is what I'm going with. Few friends of mine have them. Just sick for quality. Well worth the money for them.

Man if only I could afford a W7, but for that money I'd rather replace my fronts with JL C5s and the processor for my new HU.
