Cd/aux/XM button won't access CD player

I just purchased a 2007 EX-L with 44, 000 miles. I love it already. Got XM radio going.
However, tried to access the CD player to load CDs, and the CD/Aux/XM button simply bounces between Xm-1 and 2. It's like the CD player isn't there. CD discs will not go in the slot more than a few millimeters.

Any thoughts?

Cordially,

does that have the in-dash 6 disc CD changer?

if a CD is jammed then the factory radio would have thrown an error code, then just bypassed CD as an option.

to check this, you need to reset the CD player. first, you'll need the CODE. a small credit card sized piece of laminated paper that has a 5 digit radio code on it. you need this to use the radio after you lose power or disconnect the battery. once you find the code, you can disconnect the battery negative for a few minutes. upon reconnect you'll turn on the car and enter the code. now it will try to read the CD's inside (if any) and throw and error code if there is an issue (if any).

the CODE will usually be found in the glove box will all of the factory documentation. if you can't find it - you can refer to this thread:

it also wouldn't hurt asking the previous owner what the deal is so you know how to fix it. An OEM replacement will be >$500 so it may affect the transaction.

Thanks so much. I'll try it.
