Dash lighting problems
 

I recently attempted to replace my dash lights with LED's using an Ebay kit. When I replaced the gauge cluster lights and plugged them in I believe the headlights were on (whoops). Anyway, since then I have a very strange problem. The digital screen for the clock, the auto climate control and the CD player turn ON when I turn the headlights OFF, and they turn OFF when I turn the headlights ON. On top of that, the only buttons that light up on the gauge cluster are the blinkers and the odometer and none of the buttons on the CD player or climate control light up at all, headlights on or off. I checked all the fuses and relays, they are all good. It seems like a logic problem, is my multiplexer messed up? Can it be fixed? Any ideas?

u probly insated the leds backwards. this is possible. double check the anode and cathode ends of the leds.

If anyone encounters this problem, replace your drivers side multiplexer. I couldn't get the multiplexer out of the fuse box, felt like it would break, but the guy I bought it off had the same problem with the new one and sent me the whole fuse box so I replaced the whole thing, problem solved.. I bought one for $150 but I think I got took, you can get it cheaper on ebay. Installation is not that difficult, a bit time consuming and access to the fuse box is uncomfortable (requires some flexibility). If you can do it though,definately a better idea than going to the dealer $$$$. Any questions just ask.
