Decent door speakers

Well hello fellow members! I havent done much to my car lately and the things that come to mind are projectors and new door speakers. First off, I have Roadmaster 6x9's 3 ways in my rear and they sound fine to me for only $20 (but ive never really heard more expensive ones in a car). So what are some decent speakers for my doors for around that price range? I was thinking about another pair of roadmasters or the Lightning audio ive seen at wal mart for $30. If I were to take off the current door speaker grills, and replace them with the ones from the new speakers will it look stupid? and how easy are the grills to take off because I have taken off the door panel and it lookd like the grills were glued in or something. And could I really tell a difference between 2 and 3 way speakers? Also I think they are 6.5's and I cant remember what the max depth you can go is? One last question, when i received my wiring kit for my subs I got 2 free tweeters (so im assuming they are cheap). I bought the transistors that they need and they have been sitting since. Do you think i should go ahead and install them with the speakers or will I notice much of a difference? Thanks for your help guys:D

If you want cheap door speakers in that price range this is probably what I would go with, just some sony Xplod 6.5" w/tweeters for like $50.00, better than stock and not priced at competition quality

Personally, save your money and get something really good, Infinity's would be my first pick, then Alpines, or JL. Go all out.

x2. but, if you decide to buy something cheap i'd go with the pioneers at wal-mart. don't get anything over 3-way though, you just waste money for no noticable difference

are you planning on running the speakers off an amp? I have alpine type s components front running off an amp so they are incredible. my friend has infinity referance 6 1/2`s front and they are fine aside for the subs that over power them so i would recomend using an amp. The front speakers are importaint since most of the sound you will hear will be from them. I know the infinity referance will fit but the door has a very shallow mount.

x2? Nope, I plan on just running them from the headunits power. So what is the mounting depth? And can I take the stock speaker grilles off, and replace them with the aftermarker ones or will some of the inside door show? Thanks! Right now i'm looking at Roadmasters 3-way speakers or Lighting Audio.

Roadmasters (the 6.5 ones) I already have their 6x9s in my rear

and some Lightning Audios like these

Oh, and check out their stereo for only $139. Wish I had that one

Did you check Crutchfield's website? They should tell you the max depth. Also, any reputable car stereo shop in your area should be able to tell you.

I personally would hold out until I could afford some name brand speakers. Infinity would be the best in my opinion, but Pioneer makes some decent ones too. I have Pioneer 6x9s in the rear deck on my car, and they sound really good. I still havent replaced my fronts yet lol. But like I said, thats just me. If your Roadmasters are working well for you, then stick with them. The price sure is right! :D

You're the one who has to listen to it so get what you enjoy hearing.... The only concern I would have is that those lightning audio speakers are only 50 watts RMS and a decent aftermarket deck could possibly blow those... but for the price it's not that big of a deal, do what makes you happy! Let us know what you go with and what your opinion is.... Everyone has their favorite, mine happens to be Rockford Fosgate (I paid $200.00 for my punch series component speakers that don't fit into my accord now :( and although I consider that to be a lot of money I don't think that's anywhere near the cost of a set of competion 6.5" speakers

Also, if you already have roadmasters then just get those and make it a matched set would be my suggestion for what you seem to want.
