Deck Installation
 

Im having a heck of a time installing my girlfriends deck into my car..... I took them both out and put mine in hers (havent hooked it up) and took hers and attempted to install it in my car, with very little sucess, ive tried to go off diagrams online. But They dont seem to match up - so if anyone wants to throw some ideas my way, im up for anything.

re-read your post...then try to respond to it...

what kind of deck does your gf have? why arent you using wire harnesses?

its a pioneer, not sure the exact details, and im not useing a wire harness because the last deck befor the other one i had installed was ripped out - someone was in a rush to get thier system out.

So i just need to know wtf my battery wire is and all that dandy stuff..

First of all... have you tried finding a Helm ETM for your car? I think anything earlier than 2002 accords should have online manuals to help identify which wire is which.

If you still can't figure it out... try a multimeter - you'll find the hot wire in no time. The black wire will almost always be ground... although I've heard green can also be ground as well.

Meh.. or take it to a car audio shop and save yourself the trouble :o)
