door locks going nuts!!!
ok, this is hopefully the final problem i am having with my 1997 accord 4-door. There is a Viper alarm system in the car which i am thinking might be the problem as i cannot foresee anything else could be doing this. The door locks when the car is off and not running, keep making themselves lock. Its almost a constant thing when the car is turned off and locked. I already changed the battery out once in the car because it fried over night and a battery charger wouldnt even help me turn it over, any suggestions would be very beneficial, im at a stand still right now.

sounds like a door lock actuator to me, not the alarm

Disconnect the viper alarm system and then see if that keeps happening..the old process of elimination trick.. :)

either the switch telling the doors to lock is bad, or the alarm is improperly wired.
you can disconnect the alarm to see if that is the culprit (if you have an alarm). the door lock switches can and do fail. the switch simply completes the circuit to the actuator. |
