Electrical Problems 94 Honda Accord EX

94 Honda Accord. I have some electrical problems... And I don't know what I'm doing, so, have fun:

Problem: Radiator fans won't turn on and there's a black wire going back toward the driver compartment, but is connected to nothing. It's coming off of a green wire on the radiator. I thought maybe there had been a switch there before or something.

Also, my front left headlight works, but is really, really dim, as if it doesn't have enough power. All other lights are bright and fine.

So... I don't know what information to give you, but here's a start... Any suggestions on what to do first?

Test the radiator fan by jumpering it directly to your battery. If it comes on, fan is good, switch might need to be replaced. You can search the internet for parts that might need to be there :)

Switch the head light bulbs between left and right. It the left bulb is dim in the right side, problem is bulb. If not, check that there is no corrosion(green crap) around the connector. If there is, clean it with baking soda and water.

Good luck! Spy

using a DMM to test the fan connections is safer than connecting it to the battery directly. if the fan is shorted wiring it without a fuse could be dangerous.

the fan requires two connections to work. one from the vehicle controller and one goes to ground.
