geting through the firewall

I am installing wires for a system on my 96 accord and am having trouble getting the wires through the grommet and into the passenger side. To get the wires through do i have to take out all the heating/air and the glove box. If anyone has done this before and has tips please post . and also the alpine type r`s i got for the front seem too deep to fit. Thanks

RE: geting through the firewall

I've got subs and ran the wires through the drivers side of the firewall...there is already a hole there with some foam, just make sure the wire isnt touching bare metal otherwise it might short. Then I ran the aux cables on the passenger side. Good luck.

the other option is running it through the gromet on the passengers side and fishhooking it through

The easiest place I found on my 94 accord was the driver's side just below the Master Brake Cylinder, there is a little rubber plug with some foam behind it

Yup ive got a 04 coupe EX and the best way through the fire wall is the driver side. I used a wire hanger to get the wires through for a toggle switch
