Getting a 2007 Accord, need tips from you

Hello all. It has been a while since I visited here and was never really active. I will be getting a 2007 Accord sedan in a couple weeks. I need your advice on how to get what I would like to do:

1. I want integrated bluetooth. Maybe get an aftermarket HU that has it built in? I would like everything to be as integrated as possible.

2. Discrete Radar. Is getting through the firewall easy? I've installed them before. Anyone else installed them before that knows of an issue I will run into?

3. Headlights. I would like higher quality after market head lights. What options are out there that you guys have tried and tested?

4. Anything I should know about that makes this car unique? In terms of "oh you cant get a new HU due to this" or "installing something like this is really hard" etc.

Sorry to sound like a noob, but my googling is getting me nowhere other than ebay general junk. I figured I would just start here and get some suggestions from you guys and go from there.

welcome.

you will be challenged with the head unit since it is integrated with the climate controls. expect to spend $200 on a mounting kit that includes climate controls. You can visit MetraOnline.com and view the selection and also download PDF installation instructions ahead of time. an alternative is to retain the factory head unit and put a new one in the lower pocket. those kits are cheaper and can be a bit more stealth since you can hide it and people see the stock HU.

the firewall is just as easy as any other. just above the gas pedal is the best location to punch through. why discrete radar? radar is only illegal in 2-3 states, is yours one of them? the newer BelTronics have a 4-wire connector that allows for remote indication and mute.

there are several options, TYC makes a good product. "high quality" is relative. most aftermarket just look nice at the sacrifice of light coverage and quality. the stock reflectors are very well designed. most people "upgrade" for aesthetics and live with poorer illumination patterns.

the car is pretty easy to work on. 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm do most of the work along with phillips screws. i think Accords are a joy to work on.

the only PITA is the integrated head unit, but that's been common for quite a while now.
