"Help" Installing a deck for 2002 accord

I need to take the original deck out from the 2002 honda accord sedan, but I'm not sure what I should do to take out the original deck. I know there are 2 screws under the deck but not sure if that's all I need to do and then take the deck out by force.

I already bought a new deck, and the multi bracket kit or however it's called and going to get the harness soon but just not sure how to completely take out the original deck without breaking it.

Please someone let me know in details what I need to do or if there are other screws I need to take out other than the 2 at the bottom. If images can be provided too I would be really pleased. Thanks a lot.

first you remove the hazard button/clock that is between the upper vents. it just pops off. disconnect those harnesses. there is a screw behind it.

there are two screws under the radio as you have found.

those three screws are all that hold the dash trim on. pull it off and disconnect the A/C harnesses.

then you have four 10mm bolts that hold the radio in.

that's it. enjoy, and check out my build log for ideas in that car.

Thanks man ^_^ I just tried taking those 3 screws off and took out the bracket which is a piece of cake :P Thanks for letting me know that there's one more screw behind the clock, I guess I would never find it myself. Still haven't take out the deck yet but those should be the easy part. Thanks a lot dude :P Peace

no problem, that's why i'm here. one of the challenges with doing car audio is learning how to remove panels and finding hidden screws. cheers!
