Mine's uber heavy, so it never moves around on me... but I guess I would just say L brackets and screws...

I traced my particle board thinger in my trunk onto a piece of 3/8" plywood and then screwed on chunks of scrap oak moulding in the shape of an 'L' for each corner. Never moved again...

But that means i would have to screw into my box right? Is there another way around that? becuase i dont really want to make any holes in my box.

My box is made with 1" MDF and doesn't move. But they have these holders for coolers on boats. I have them on my boat and they hold my big ol cool filled with ice. They are essentially plastic Ls that hold the cooler at each corner. You would have to screw them down to the car, but not the box. You could accomplish the same thing by doing what finch said. Or if your really lazy you could get 1" strips of velcro, if your box is lite enough to slide around velcro will hold it fine. Is your box wrapped in carpet or is just plain MDF. If its just MDF then thats the reason its sliding around so much. Chances are your box has carpet, but you never know.

You don't have to screw the brackets into the box, just the base support board. The vertical part will just be against the box to hold it in place.

^^^ Actually, extreme velcro would work well too.

You could just hammer or screw two small square pieces of wood to the particle board that your box is sitting on (the part that raises so you can get to your spare tire) in front of your box. That way your box cant slide over them.
