Hey Wardy
how are ya shocker here, welcome, well u have 2 options one an fm/ transmitter u plus into ipod then use radio station on same station as the fm transmitter or 2ndly get a cd player that has auxilary on the back and run it off the aux. of a deck, id go with fm transmitter its easier

fm transmitter is easier but your going to have issues if ur driving more then a few miles, even then you still have issues, ur going to have to keep switching stations, and if u get by a radio transmitter, you get screwed. just a warning

RE: Mini Ipod

I dont think you would have to switch stations. But the main problem is the quality in sound is going to suck.

R u talkin about the mac modulator? I heard those things suck. Ive done modulators plenty of times for all sorts of applications and never had radio station changing problems.

cd changers, dvd players video games vhs, mp3s... all of that sort

RE: Mini Ipod

my cd changer was good unless you do any distance driving because you run into radio stations with stronger transmitters. lol it aws funny tho because there was a transmitter right by the free way that when we drove by the radio would freek

There are a few different FM modulators. The iTrip is supposed to be good but I heard the best one is the Monster Cable one. The sound quality from these (in my experiences) are not too good. It's like a really good radio station. Depending on how picky you are... this is easiest.

The most cost effective is to just take that out and put an MP3 deck in. The stereos in those cars I've found to be very problematic. If you have a blank DIN then you can just add another deck for as little ast $150.

Alpine and Kenwood both have adaptors to plug into the back. Alpine is the AI-net adaptor. It lets you plug your ipod directly into the alpine NO FM TRANSMITTER, and actually CONTOL THE iPOD FROM THE DECK. So u can run the cord to your glove box and plug in your iPOD there, and shut the glove box! NO MESSY WIRES, MY FAVORITE! I believe it is the same way with the kenwood, but don't quote me, i've only done it with the alpine so far. But i have not heard any complaints out of the kenwoods either, and i know we've sold alot. Pioneer is suposed to have one in the works too i believe

Yes there is lots out there for different decks but if you folks did not read above here clearly stated "Instead of installing an MP3 Player" into his car lol the only way to do it is thru fm Transmitter unless u have a cassette deck that would work too.....

I'm I'm not mistaken I think there is already an AUX out on the back of those decks and I'm sure there's a cable that you plug right into the back and you can plug right into an Ipod. I'll see if I can find the site where you can buy it.

Gummi, if you are talking about a stock head unit then you are mortally horribly mistaken, there has never been one like that.
