Navi/Tech on 2016 EXL Plays without Sound
After 5 months 2016 Accord EXL with navi/tech package plays music from iPhone 6 Plus via Bluetooth or USB connection, BUT there is NO sound even though phone and Honda displays show selection has been made for a song and song can be changed from Honda or iPhone. NO SOUND. Switch it to FM and there is sound. Honda at 888-528-7876 pleasant BUT can't get it to work. Honda dealer says to call 888#. :( Honda 888# :( says to bring it to dealer, who has told me that they don't have an expert. All service guys can do it. Really? 888 # says there is NO firmware upgrade available. Sounded as if he didn't really know what a firmware upgrade is. Any one else having problem? Any one else fixed this problem? Thanks in advance. :shrug:

the only thing that has changed since you bought the car is the OS version on your phone, app additions, and app updates. others have had issues when the phone OS updates or the app updates and compatibility is lost with existing equipment (i.e. head units). Honda hasn't issued any firmware updates to their head units (and like other automakers they won't).
i'm guessing your hope is that whatever update to your phone caused the issue will correct itself. it could be an app that has BT authority now. |
