Need an amp!?!

Hey guys so i have my speakers set up in my car now, infinity kappa 6x9's and infinity reference components in the front, being powered only by my panasonic head unit. Only now do i realize how much i need an amp for speakers like these :P. What do you guys suggest i get?? My kappa's are 110w RMS and my references are 90w RMS. Whats the smallest amp that will get the job done, as im on a limited budget. I was thinking like 60ish RMS per channel x4?? alot better than the 18w rms from my head unit

Why not just get a 400WRMSx4 amp and call it a day?

I have a budget of about $150 can i get a 400w x4 on ebay for that??

Possibly... t00fatt may even have an amp to sell you.

you'll have to look around pretty hard to find a decent 4-channel for 150

You will spend more money buying a $150 amp, then realize it's not rated for what it says its and distorts. If your budget is small, just get a smaller amp, but a quality name amp. 60w per channel will be fine, and 100w will be fine also. Those speakers rated for 90w will handle the 100w just fine crossed at 60hz or so. Choosing an amp is much easier than speakers, you just need a quality name and the right power to match your speakers.

The only 4ch I have is half blown sitting in the garage just for parts. I save all my burnt electronics, you never know what your going to have to harvest in the future from them. The last good amp I had went to falk, I just have a few BS boss or pyle amps I replaced with a real amp in freinds car and they didn't want the old amp.

Thats what i was thinking of, a quality name amp with 60ish w rms per channel. I see a ton of those ****ty pyramide, pyle, boss, etc. amps on ebay that say theyre 2000 watts lol but i know those are really bad id way rather go with something quality. What do you suggest??

anything on the lines of kicker, infinity, rf, or alpine. you should be pretty safe with any well known brand

Check out Profile amps on Crutchfield.com

Theyre entry level amps with no bells or whistles so theyre dirt cheap but they are solidly build and will meet their rated power. Theyre the best budget amps on the market IMO.

That's very good to know, I'm not very familiar with all the amp brands, just the mainstream ones.
