New amp makes speakers buzz and drains battery

I just put in a new 3,000 watt amp in my 91 honda accord lx and its having a few problems. The speakers buzz and when I give it gas they buzz louder. I have the gain turned as low as it will go and still be able to hear it. And if that's not bad enough the battery keeps going dead. I had the battery and alternator check at Advanced Auto parts and they said it good, but my amp was drawing a lot of power. The lady said that I needed a thing to stop the amp from pulling power when the car is off. Does anyone know about that? Would this be a capacitor? Would a capacitor maybe stop the buzzing? Do I need a new battery? Thanks for any help you can offer!

And just a another thing it only buzzes when the sub is connected. I don't know if that means anything but...

you need to fix your remote wire. something is telling your amp to stay on all the time. when your car is off, your amp should also be off. a capacitor stores power for short burst of high amp draws. What kind of 3000 watt amp did you install? what brand and model? your speakers buzz or your sub buzzes?

Not trying to sound like a jerk but it sounds like it was installed improperly. In my honest opinion you would probably be better off pulling it all out and reinstalling it properly.
