New Deck

In the up comming weeks im looking to buy a new deck for my 98 coupe. Getting tired of stock. I have been looking at http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1165610937533

and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I tried to find review and what not about it but couldnt find much. Any suggestions are welcome. If you have a suggestion for a different deck there are 2 things. 1. has to be iPod ready. 2. Around $200

Thank you for any input

That deck actually looks pretty nice to me.... mosfet connections and 50wx4 is better than stock as well.... just note that you need the cd-i200 adapter ($25-$30) to hook up the ipod...

Have you shopped around at all? you may be able to get it for less.... And just my personal opinion but if you could find a Rockford Fosgate or Kenwood deck for around that same price I'd go that route.....Whatever you do don't buy a Jensen

Hey man, I just got my JVC put in not too long ago, but I would have gotten a Pioneer if I wasn't so tight on money, since I'm only sixteen. Can't wait till summer when I get a job, I'm putting most of it into my car. Anyways, I just got mine put in, but if you end up getting that exact deck, you're looking at $295, all in all. The way I got to $295 so quick is because, just because they say that the installation is free, you still have to pay for $55in parts and labor and stuff like that, and then if you want the adapter, that's another $50 and if you want them to install that so that you can put your iPod in the glove box and control it through the deck itself, that's another $25. So, if I were you, I'd try and find a cheaper one, say in the $150 area, that way you only end up paying like $225 or $250 instead of $295 or $300. But, that's just me, so do what you want.

I personally prefer Pioneer decks to any other brand. I put a Kenwood CD player in my first car, and I didnt really care for it, and have used Pioneer ever since. Definitely stay away from the cheapo brands though, like Jensen, as Sir mentioned.

I wouldn't buy a Dual, a Sony, a Jensen, or anything like that, but a Kenwood, it's your choice on that, but I don't think you'd be satisfied.

Im an Alpine man myself but Pioneer makes pretty solid units. However, Ive seen a few too many with noise issues to ever buy one.

This Panasonic at Crutchfield is a steal right now. $500 HU for $200 on closeout. Ton of tuning features.
