One speaker is cutting off when volume turned up

Hey everyone I was wondering if somebody had a clue as to why i have one speaker cutting of whenever I turn the volume up.

It started a week ago. I thought it was a blown front left speaker (they were factory speakers) so i bought some sony xplodes at a good price. I replaced the speakers myself and both were working. Just a bit ago I decided to test the speakers and go a bit louder than usual. Again, the left front speaker stopped playing altogether. Now, how I got it to even play again in the first place is strange to me. I disconnected the car battery and wiggled the wires on the back of the cd player, I figure one of those worked. I have no amp, the speaker wires are wired straight to the cd player. Does anyone have an idea on this? Im not very good at wiring or diagnosing electrical problems.

Thanks,
Dan

Btw, I should probably state that I have a 1998 honda accord.

Well i pulled the dash out again, wiggled the wires and its fine again. Wtf?

Sounds like that speaker has bad connection, your either going to have to find where it is or run new wires to the speaker in the door.
