RE: Radio code

You have to send the Serial number of the radio and the VIN number of your car to Honda and they will give you it.

But, some people have it written in there owner manuals.

RE: Radio code

it is the number written on a white sticker in your glove compartment or fuse box cover or ashtray or center console

Only if the original owner stuck them there. Honda doesn't stick the stickers anywhere, they give them to you so you can stick them where you please. Best bet is doing what nrmskate said.

Just bought a 1997 Accord Special Edition and have encountered this problem. There is kind or wow-grained plastic around the radio, Does it come off easy to get to the radio?

Not really fun getting the radio out on this gen.

Try logging into honda's site and see if you can get the code from there.

You have to sign up, give the vin of the car, then there is a section you can go to and get the code....just hope it is the same radio that came OE in the car. If it was ever swapped then yes, you'll have to pull it and get the serial number.

Did you look all around the glove box for a sticker with 5 digits?

Sure did, found nothing and yes I've watched the You Tube video on removing the radio. And you're correct, it doesn't look fun.
