Radio Electrical Problem, or Fuses?
 

First off. I drive a 1997 Accord EX Coupe with the F22B1 and the 4 speed automatic. It has the original factory radio with the factory CD player mounted above it.
When I use the radio, the volume works great, and cranked up it is extremely loud. However, whenever I play a CD, I have to crank the volume up all the way to just hear it, tried multiple CDs as well. Also, if you smack the radio just right the volume will get loud again, but then eventually will get quiet again. Only happens on CD player and Tape deck. Problems? Solutions?

bummer. sounds like a connection problem or a failing preamp section in the radio.

given the age of the car, a replacement is your best bet. A modern single-DIN or double-DIN CD player will not only sound a lot better, but offer many modern features. single-din replacements for $120 and double-din replacements for $220 can work great in comparison to stock.
