Radio mounting bracket?
I am trying to install a new radio into my 1994 Honda Accord Lx, and realize I am missing the screws for the metal mounting bracket from the stock radio. It is a Single Din radio and I have no idea if that really matters. I just wanted to know if I even need the bracket. And if I do, what are the dimensions of the screws? So I can go get some from like Home Depot (I have the bracket).
Here is a link what I am talking about just in case I didnt call it the right thing. http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=261384479789 |
are you putting a factory radio in the car?
you could get the screws from a hardware store, but I dont know the size and pitch for them. |
they are usually a metric screw, 1/4" or so. the manual for the radio will tell you what size screws.

check with crutchfield.com they will tell you everything you need to install your stereo
|
the reason I asked if you were putting in a factory radio is because you shouldnt need that bracket if you are putting in an aftermarket stereo.

tthank you, but I figured it out.
I decided to remove my center console, and under the old factory radio, I found a scre. So once I got I, it went ahead and got a matching one at home depot. I had not Idea that I did not need the bracket. But I have already installed the radio and it works great. Thanks for the answers though!
