Recommend a stereo for my 01 Accord LX

Hi,
I have a 2001 Accord LX I4 5spManual. I am looking to replace the factory installed stereo.

I am looking for the following features
CD/mp3/etc/.. playing capability
CD-R/CD-RW (If it can read mp3's off a DVD-R even better)
Auxillary Input to hook up my external mp3 player if necessary
HD radio
Easy to install (something i can install myself)
Also, I am not looking to spend more than $150.

I am not sure if I can get all of these, feel free to take some features out or add some in.

Based on the above what stereo would you recommend.

Also would I need to buy anything additional for installing the stereo? like a rack adapter etc..?

What kind of a system would work in my car Single Din/ Double Din?

Thanks in advance

I am not trying to be mean but a headunit for 150 will be garbage http://www.analogstereo.com/images/d...a9855_main.jpgthat is my headunit it is a APLINE CDA-9855 i think it is still worth 450 and it came out in 05 if you are looking for good sound just keep saving and get a decent one. So the sound qaulity is good. Mine has built in active crossovers as well as a graphic and parametric equalizer and time correction. Sub control and crystal clear sound. So in my opinion spend at least 200-250 on a headunit i bought a crappy one for my first one and it sounded like crap.

I agree with accrd94. I have the alphine cda 9856 and its awsome. I definitly recommend you save your money and get a more expensive headunit. You would get way better sound and you wouldnt regret it.

i work at best buy and all i can say is, if you want all those benefits and don't want to spend over 150, you better off getting a kenwood. but alpine is the best radio hands down....BUT since its not in your budget just get a kenwood...you can also go with pioneer but depending on which pioneer you purchase, you'll have to buy some other extra parts in order to get an aux input and you will have to run the wire from behind your dash to the front because pioneer usually makes their aux hole in the back so does alpine.

If your budget is only $150 I suggest ebay. You can get some good bargains on used gear. Just remember "buyer beware".
As stated $150 will get you very little and nothing you want other than cd playback.
Also as stated Alpine is one of the best regarded brands out there. There latest x200 and x300 are pretty decent units are the x300 is closer to your price range.
JVC is also a decent brand. I had the KD-AR770...daughter got it lol...and liked it quite a bit but I am an old Alpine fan going back to the mid 70's and having another brand just didn't feel right hehehe.
Save a bit and get the best head unit you can afford...You need around $350 to $400 for a top unit...You won't regret the wait or the unit.
Keep us informed.

i love alpine i have the cda9885 and idax100 both are awesome! if you wan to add hd radio i say go with the cda-9884 from alpine, comes with ipod cable adn has ai net so you can add hd radio. it doesn't have an aux but you can add one ai net to aux cable for liek 20 dollars more. Hd radio needs an extra tunner box so that will be an extra charge to tell ya the truth i dont know how much it is and the last that i remember its not cheap for the tuner.
