speaker problems

i put a JVC stereo and 4 Pioneer speakers and during some of the songs, a loud ringing noise starts. i dont think i hooked anything up wrong. if anyone else has had this problem, let me know whats wrong. thanks

RE: speaker problems

does it matter if you're playing the radio or cd's? Does it just start all of the sudden then quit? do you have an amp hooked up to all of the speakers or just the deck? Is it possibly interference from the engine/electrical noise?

RE: speaker problems

define "some songs" and are the speakers tightened down properly?

RE: speaker problems

next time ill be a little more descriptive. i was in a hurry. the head unit has a usb hook up so i can play my ipod through it. it only rings during the higher pitched songs. there is no amp hookup and the speakers are all hooked up right and screwed down tight. dont see what is could be besides something wrong with the speakers or unit. unless like you said its engine/electrical interference. what could i do about that

RE: speaker problems

try burning off a cd of the high pitched songs and see if it happens again, if it doesnt it means the connection through the usb and the ipod isnt the best in the world, if it happens again, try to get test speakers
