sub question
just wondering why my subs cut out after ive been listening to them for a long period of time.(not full volume) they will begin working again after i turn it down to 1 or 2 for about 5 mins

How hot is your amp getting? What kind of load are you presenting to the amp?

Same thing happened to me for a long time. I got a new fuse holder and fuse, and it completely solved my problem.

im running 2 guage wiring to the amp with an 80 amp fuse i believe

and the amp does get kinda hot

mine does tooo...
it cuts off when way too hot.. or my headunit will cut off if its tooo loud...when the bass hits it will cut off for aboue 3 seconds.. why? |

I'm telling you, try a new fuse holder under the hood. It costs 15 bucks with a fuse, and it could solve your problems.

i have a memphis fuse box with the 200A fuse.. your telling me to get a new box or upgrade the fuse to something bigger? i was told to have another fuse in the trunk before the amp too? should i do that? One fuse after the battery and another before the amp? |
