Very disappointed in Honda

I'm a long time Honda buyer. On my 5th Honda now. A 2017 Accord.

I've been having issues with Pandora since I bought the car. I keep being told the car is fine, it's the phone (Samsung S9+). I had car in for service once, loaned a 2018 Accord. Pandora worked great.

I brought this up, and the dealer, and Honda in California, both told me there's an issue with the 2017 and Pandora, and they are not looking to correct. It was suggested I trade in a car less than 1 year old on a 2018.

In the past, Honda's replaced AC that failed n a five year old car (I was very pleasantly surprised). Now, they won't fix a radio.

Makes me wonder if Honda's priorities have changed.

My next car won't be a Honda, unfortunately.

If you dislike the Accord radio function, check out the 2018+ Camry - for some reason Toyota doesn't even have Pandora support and they decided to make up their own app that won't turn off on your phone, ever, and has terrible function/support. We have to wait until 2020 and hope for a firmware update to get Android Auto. It's our 4th Camry and while it has neat things, it is very lacking in other areas. She has a soft spot for Camry's so the Accord wasn't even and option for her.

My 2014 Accord has buggy Pandora support that worked for a bit and doesn't at all now. It is in the phones (I have an S9 also) because the car doesn't change. Phone updates are constant and apps can't keep up with permissions.

The tried and true solution for any of these cars is to just connect via Bluetooth and choose the Bluetooth audio source. You'll get some basic song info, pause and next track, but no like/dislike and no station change. But it will always work.
