Want to change my stock radio out

Hello, I have a 2011 Honda Accord LX, 6 speakers w/out nav w/o dual climate. I have already changed the factory speakers to alpines and now the next step for me is to change out the factory radio. I need help and advice as I got lucky with the speakers and had someone install it all for free. Im on a short budget so im wanting to do this myself. Im looking to replace the factory radio with another one that has a screen so I know I need to do that double din pieces. I just wanna know what all I am gonna need. Im planing on installing a sub and amp later (Most likely 2 10"s or 1 12") So i'm open to suggestions as in brands and all.

This dash kit from Scosche is the only way to do it as far as I know.

Im kinda in the same boat as you. Ive got a $1200 Pioneer P99 that I was using for competition in my last car and would like to put it in my beloved new EX but for one, these things seem really cheap and for two, I hate making the LCD useless. I kinda like all the info being there. Its right at eye level and I just have to look over.

Im actually thinking about selling my P99 and keeping the stock radio and just using an external processor instead. Not sure though as those seem to have noise since youre working off the speaker wires instead of nice clean RCA outputs.

Im also not sure how much a PITA this dash kit would be to install. Ive looked for some install info on it but cant find much of anything.

that kit is certainly the way to go, or the Metra 99-7874 (or 7874T for silver)
http://www.metraonline.com/files/pro...-7874T_web.pdf

this pdf includes instructions on removal/installation

You also need the Metra 70-1729 wire harness adapter'
And if you want to retain steering wheel controls, the PAC SWI-X interface

FWIW I have a Pioneer AVIC-D2 for sale, $150. (no Navi antenna or discs)
Pioneer AVIC-D2 CD at Crutchfield.com
