What type of HIDs do you have?

looking at getting some real HIDs in my ride, not some cheap blue lights. What kind of kits do you guys w/ HIDs have? There are a bunch of japanese kits on ebay that are around 200-300 bucks. Those with HIDs, do yall do anything special to shield your ballast? I know a lot of high end cars have their ballast enclosed to protect them from the elements. Also, what temperature bulb do yall have? I am thinking about getting 6000k bulbs which is more of a bright white. Anyone know what temp bulbs come in stock acuras or nissans? That's the color I'm looking for.

RE: What type of HIDs do you have?

Bella is right, 6000k is pure white(not so noticeable), 8000k white with a blue tint, 10000k deep blue, 12000k purple. My HIDs are 8000k, and if you live in an area where cops aren't the most lenient I would go with 8k at the most. Most kits aren't DOT approved and cops know this so keep that in mind.

EDIT: As for your other questions, I bought a no name brand for $120 and I've had them installed for over a year now. The ballast it's self is water resistant, you need to worry more about heat. Try and hide the ballast and keep it as far from the engine as possible.
