whine from behind

hey, when my stereo is powered on, there is a whining sound coming from the trunk...?? The whine goes up and down in accordance to my acceleration...?? Anyone know what this is?

by the way i have a 1000x4 going to all speakers and a 800mono going to 2 300rms 12's. capacitor is on the mono.

this noise is annoying! how do i get rid of it!

It could be all sorts of things. First thing to check is wiring. Make sure your ground wires are big enough and securely grounded.

Make sure your gains are set NO HIGHER than the noon position or halfway.

If the whine persists even with the CD player's volume at 0 then its coming from further downstream. If it goes away with the volume, then you know the HU is the culprit. Try running a dedicated power wire straight to the battery (and fuse it) and then run a dedicated ground wire to the chasis and disconnect the original wiring.

This is just a few things. It could also be your RCA cables. The easy way to find out is to get a set of cheap RCA's and pull out your CD player and run the RCA's from the HU to the amps (not under carpet just lay them across the seats) and see if the noise goes away. If it does then your RCA's are the problem. First they could be amplifying noise if theyre shielded or they could just be letting outright noise into the signal path. Get a good set of UNSHIELDED cables.

it could be a bad ground within the cd player rca's or it could be amp related if you have an hu sending volts and the amp is a low end amp it could cause to whine. (what is amp/HU brand?)

I don't know if it's the same problem but if the rca cables are close to the power cables you will hear the sound of the alternator belt through your low tone speakers, I'm not sure if that's what you mean, but I had that problem until the two wires were routed away from each other
