Default how to clean are vents slots and cover at base of gear shift and other questions

Hello All:

I have a 2005 Accord EXL and want to know what method others use to keep the air vent slots in the dash from getting covered in dust, and the cover at the base of the gear shift, stuff seems to collect around the edges.

Also is it true that it's not a good idea to use Armer-All on the dash and interior? I heard it causes hardening which leads to cracks? If this is true what's a better product that might be available at Canadian Tire or Wal-Mart?

Last question, what do others clean their seat belts with to keep them moving freely?

Thanks guys,
Darryl

Hmm, the Armor All comment is new to me. Would be nice to find out if that is true.

I've heard that about armor all.

Professional detailers use a product w/ less of a shine but it works alot better than Armor All. I forget what it was, sorry!

When Armor All first came out they said they'd replace any dashboards that crack if people could show they used their product. So many people had cracked dash boards that they stopped the guarantee. Or so I heard.

I use a fairly stiff 1" across paint brush for getting rid of ALL dust in those areas. I use a leather cleaner in the tuff areas of dirt and a Leather conditioner after to keep it soft and supple..The dash board TYLER

The products are Lexol from your local Auto Zone store...on sale by the way

if your into detailing your car alot interior or exterior i would highly recommend griots garage . com they have some really good stuff for cleaning your car. there orbital buffer is the sh*t too but damn does it take along time to buff out your car. i rebuffed my carbon fiber hood got rid of some of the wax buildup on my hood. i still needed to do another 1 or 2 passes over the hood but got tired of buffing it lol.
