94-97 Fuel Filter Replacement

It would appear to me that we Honda guys would by now have come up with a better mounting place for the Fuel filters for 94-97 Accords along with the line change. Maybe someone has and if so let me know. I have 203k on my Accord and this is the last time I will bust my knuckles on a job that should take 10min to do. I am 70 so tell me twice. TKS

After only 203,000 miles you shouldn't have to replace the fuel filter, it should be good to go for an easy quarter of a million miles.

There was a day when fuel could be some what trusted to be fairly clean out of the tanks. Have you ever dispensed gas from the the tanks after a tanker has just left a drop of 5000 gals. It will scare ya. and don't believe that the filter in the stations gas pump is clean. Replace the fuel filter at least every 60k. Regardless, should be a better solution for replacement.

Hmmm, I beg to differ; fuel is far-far cleaner now than it has been at any time in the history of automobiles. I typically run my cars a quarter of a million miles or more and the last fuel filter I had to change was on my 1979 VW Scirocco which clogged after only 70,000 miles.

Yup, it is a Corsair (that particular plane is an FG-1A built by Goodyear), and yes, given the battle damage that thing endured and all of the beer cans and bailing wire used to patch the combat damage during WWII, I suspect the fuel filter needs changing on a regular basis. :)
