Diagnose Brake Pedal Goes To Floor

IF the brake pedal goes to the floor ALL TTHE TIME ........you need to chk for external leaks,,

calipers, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, ( drum brakes ) brake lines, proportioning valve, or outer rear seal in the brake master cylinder making fluid drip all over the brake booster , when there is an external leak the brake fluid in the brake cylinder reservoir will be low or empty ..

NOW......... If the brake pedal GOES TO FLOOR INTERMITTENTLY ..............You need to replace the BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER .......it leaks internally and you will not see any fluid drop anywhere and fluid will not get low ........

IF it has an internal leak and when a shop looks at it they cannot find any leaks,, it will act up worse on HOT days and during the hottest part of the day,,,,,,,,,it might work ok in the early mornings and in the evenings,,,,,,,,,,
It is very very dangerous the way it is, because if you were to need to make a panic stop and there is nothing there, you could get in an accident hurting yourself, your loved ones or other people in different car or pedestrians ..

If you plan on doing the job yourself , here is a step by step instruction
