1.7 non V-tec into a 1994 Accord?

My son just totaled our very low mileage (50,000) 2004 Civic LX. It has a very sweet 1.7 non-V-tec motor. Any chance of getting that into our 1994 Accord? Sure hate to see it go. Motors been living a charmed life with Mobile One Synthetic since break-in and easy driving since new. Someone give me some good news! :D

It won't be a direct bolt on for sure, i do not think it worth the time to do it, if anything you will have to take every thing out of the civic, motor, tranny, all wiring and both computers for engine and tranny if it's an auto, you might also have to modify mounts, exhaust, axles and more.

The mounts and transmissions are completely different. No one has ever put a b/d series engine into a 4th or 5th gen accord that I know of.

It would require custom mounts, wiring, and shift linkage. It also would make a pretty slow accord.

Find a 2004-2005 Civic with a bad engine?

that 1.7l is way too small and under powered for a accord chassis

A suggestion worth considering. Thanks for all the responses.
