1989 accord engine vibration...need help!!!
 

I have a 89 accord lx and the engine has abad vibration. It vibrates the whole car, esp. the dash, steering wheel, floorboard, etc. When I accelerate it tends to go away obviously, but you have to keep the idle up a little when your stopped so this thing won't drive you crazy. I have replaced all and I do mean all the mounts on this car from top to bottom. It seems that it has gotten worse since all the mounts were changed.I figured probably because everything is not flexingas much. If there is anyone that has any clues as to what my problem is or has experienced the same thing, please let me know. This car doesn't even have 100k on it. It's driving me crazy and the river looks better every day.

What does your car idle at?

I would say between 1000 and 1200 rpms. It varies. It's really to high. This is another problem this car has.

have you checked the motor mounts>> ad yes idle is too high
