2000 Accord: Creaking from back

Hello. Since I bought my car used last October, I have heard a metal creaking sound coming from the rear of the car when I drive over uneven road or make a turn of any kind. It does not sound like any type of suspension problem or anything. I think it is coming from the rear shelf/rear window/trunk area. Has anyone else had this problem and have a solution? Thanks! Btw I have a 2000 accord LX

I have the same noise in my '09 Accord same area, no clue what it is - sorry. Sounds to me like a loose fitting issues of something speakers, shelf behind the back seat or something. I don't think I hear it all the time at least it really bothers the crap out of me sometimes more than others. I've heard it with literally nothing in my trunk so it's not that. Mine is coming from under the back "shelf" area / behind the rear seat.

Remove the spare tire, jack, tools, etc from back there. Just to rule them out as the culprit.

I know you said it doesn't sound like suspension sounds. But spray that stuff with silicone or something. Especially the anti-roll bar bushings. Sounds can travel around in a funny way in the back of the car. That spray won't last long, so if you identify the noise you can put some kind of silicone grease that will last longer.
