RE: '89 honda accord lx need help

Ive just purchased a 89 LXI. There is a little difference between these two cars think. I belive your car is Carbed and mine is FI. My suggestion is that no matter which you have swap the motor! You can pick up a B18 with trannie for around a grand. Sometimes you can even find a H22 for the same price. There are a few different B18's (different hp and tq) Just yesterday I found a site that had a whole swap from a CRV that was $650. That included the ECU, motor, and transmittion. Im looking at doing a K20 or F20 turbo swap into mine. I figure that after we find those parts that are so rare for our cars its probably just as cost efficent to go and swap the motor and know you can find anything you want for them! Dont know if this helps. I know you were looking for options for that specific eng. I myself havent been very lucky with the aftermarket products even with the FI.

Good luck
