92 accord problem
 

hi I have a 92 honda accord. The problem is the battery dies out if i dont charge it before drivng. I replaced the alternator and battery and still the same problem. I have no system on it so that cant be the problem. Can anyone help me figure out the problem? Thanks in advance.

I have your answer for you .

If you have a AutoZone store somewheres by you, go there and let them do a battery, alternator,starter check..It's Free and it will let you know mostly what your problem is..No Appointment Needed Either.. :rolleyes:

I work for advanced auto parts alternator, battery is good starter is good to or else car wouldn't start.

When you get home, remove the neg cable from the battery. Check the voltage on it at that time, then 2 hours later, then 2 hours after that......if you don't see a big change....leave it overnight. Test the voltage in the am.

In the am if the voltage is good, put the neg cable on and go to work.

From there, you have a draw on the battery. This will be fun.

Don't want either of you to take this the wrong way but a battery can "pass" your tests....you have to remember you are testing it after the customer drove to your store.....so of course you walk out there and it has a charge.....the missing question is "does the battery HOLD a charge".

thanks for the help but it's not the battery. I've have a home battery charger i charge the battery every night. I have to batteries that are close to new and they both die out. :confused:
