93 Accord 4dr ex Poor MPG?
 

I have a 93 accord 4dr EX auto with new plugs & wires. No matter how I drive it I only get 22 MPG hi-way, city or combo. I would expect this car to get better mileage, am I asking to much of a 15 year old car? 140K miles.

What kind of plugs? Hondas don't seem to like Bosch - get NGK.

How about check/adjust your spark timing? Check/adjust your valve clearances?

Check for dragging brakes? Proper tire pressure?

Improper adjustment of the downshift cable from throttlebody to tranny might cause bad mileage?

Sorry, should have included: NGK plugs, no dragging brakes & tire press. correct. I will check the other things

22MPG is pretty decent.I have a 07 accord and I only get about 13MPG. I'm trying to get some more MPG by driving like a granny and tuning my car:)

Crappy gas can effect your mileage.

13mpg??? do u have a heavy foot? my car is turbo and does like 14-16mpg... (highway)
