97 honda accord

Why don't they make a performance throttle body for automatic accords? Why only manual? Someone has to break the mold. If they do make them can you tell me where to get one? Think how much money a person or company could make. Its the same as manual just different parts cause if you can change an automatic to a manual why cant they both have performance parts?

The mechanism in the automatics aren't rated for performance. You could make it, but you'd have to strip down the trans and make changes to prevent from causing damage. Not sure if this is gospel, but that is what I was told.

The F22 isn't even worth upgrading, unless you are turbocharging it......that's why.

the ONLY reason throttle bodies aren't made for automatics are because of the throttle valve cable and bracket that runs from the throttle cam to the transmission. SOME aftermarket throttle bodies have the 2 drilled and tapped holes to hold the bracket for the tv cable. if you find one of these throttle bodies, you can swap throttle cams with your throttle body and it will work. i have done this with a 70mm ebay t.b. i seriously doubt there is an application on this planet where just swapping t.b. size by a few or even handful of mm's can blow out a trans. we're not talking about a 50 or 100+ increase in hp or tq guys. and lets not be so quick to dash other peoples aspirations. every engine is worth upgrading.
