99 Accord Main Drive Pulley Bolt

I'm attempting to replace my timing belt and balancer belt. However, i am unable to get the main drive pulley bolt off, it is a bitch. I've tried extending the leverage of my ratchet by attatching a pipe to the end of it, had a couple other people try the same thing and even used a weak inpact wrench. Does anyone know a trick? do i need a more powerful inpact wrench? help please! Thanks

you need a more powerful impact wrench,
go to a shop and ask them to loosen up the bolt, then tighten it slightly with regular socket .. just enough for tyou to drive it back home and do the job, and it won't come lose on the drive home .., they might charge you 20-30 dollrs .. or tell the tech you will get him a case of beer

I bought a harmonic balancer holder off Amazon.com for Hondas. These things are on so tight, this one came loose with a big bang. I thought I broke it.

the other thing you can do if you've got a big breaker bar/pipe (like 4-5 feet long) is use that then tap on it (the pipe) lightly with a hammer to cause a little vibration while you are pushing down on it and that can help break it loose... also make sure that you are loosening it not tightening it.... they are NOT reverse threads....
