99 f23 vtec swap with f22 not vtec

I have a 99 honda accord f23 series motor that is blown. I am trying to swap with an f22 non-vtec motor. what modifications do i need to make this work?

My first question is why?

From there a host of others but lets start with what year F?

your going to lose a tab bit out power and tq by going to the f22 engine. It can be done but won't be like your f23.
If your going to jump into a swap look into a h22 or h23 engine if you have some money to spend.

The only reason I can think of is you already have the F22 for free??

Might be a big job to swap enough sensors to make that engine into OBD-2. Otherwise, you want to convert the car's wiring to OBD-1.
