Help a new enthusiast!
Hi,
My name is Craig and im 17 and i've had a 98 accord for about two years now. I can tell the engine is starting to wear a little bit and I need some suggestios for cheap ways to improve performance and apperance of my car. I am an upcoming enthusiast and any feedback would be very useful. Any suggestions for improving my engine, sound, and power would be great!
Thanks

I would start by seafoming it. depending on the miles you might want to look into a timing belt. but for adding sound and performance. I would start with adding exhaust, intake, and header. as for appearance rims are a must

Make sure you do all your basic maintenance first. Timing belt if it needs it. Give it a tune up, new distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs and plug wires. Use Honda parts.
I/H/E are the basics, start with those. A short ram intake is fine if you are on a budget, although a full cold air intake will add a couple extra horsepower. If you use a CAI, I would strongly suggest a bypass valve, unless you live in an area where you dont get a lot of rain or your street drainage is good. Header, OBX is supposed to be pretty good, and inexpensive also. I just ordered one. Exhaust kind of depends on the sound you are going for. Apexi WS2 is super quiet, Greddy Evo 2 is a nice deep tone, and pretty loud. The Skunk 2 has a nice tone also, there is a sound clip here: http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...t=MVI_1091.flv (thats live2rice's new exhaust).
Appearance, yes, rims are good, so is tint. Body kit/spoiler is up to you, I dont personally care for them, but you might.
