accord TRANSMISSION help!!!

i have a 98 accord ex v6 3.0 that has a problem with the transmission just like many accord owners as ive found out because that is negligible with hondas. My tranny jerks between 1st-2nd gear, also when i floor it, and when i let go of the gas pedal, it give a forward jerk. Well i was wondering who had this problem and how did you end up fixing this? has anyone repaired it themselves or know what needs to be changed in the tranny to prevent this issue? If so, is there any better aftermarket parts available that can be upgraded from stock OEM parts?
tranny getting worse and worse.. getting on my nerves now.

I had this problem,as well as Falkore..Sadly neither him or I fixed the problem,as i assume the money was just not worth it. Your transmission needs to replaced just like the other 100,000+ people in this same scenario.

Also,Dr.Evil makes a damn good tranny for that accord..If you go that route.

Good Luck.

What's the mileage on the car? Honda will replace it if it's under 107k or so.

yup mine was under 100,000

Your Lucky. They wouldn'y fix mine because my vin number didn't show any recalls for the tranny. Honda of america said the same thing.

98 accord is NOT covered under any warranty, onlu the 00-01 cars are covered by a 7 year 9 month or 109K warranty. your car may be considered for some goodwill assistance

things that usually help you out

1. maint records
2. Honda has serviced car
3. you bought multiple hondas

i would not go the non honda rebuilt route. I tried that once with my 98lx v6 and the trans was replaced 3 times within 11K miles
