Whats the best you can to a f22b2 engine?
I plan on swapping out in the future when i have more funds but will just work witb what i have. Thinking s2k engine or h22 or maybe consider the beastly j32a2 engine, i owned a tl type s 2003, loved it but lost it lol it is what it is

All going to depend on your wallet and end goals.

I know a guy that is running an F22 motor with over 500 whp on pump gas..

Well i want to swap engines for power purposes but if i can make my stock engine take out an si or g35 im more than willing to try that first

Im not the richest person but i also dont have too many bills so i can save up a good amount plus young all i have is time ! Haha

That's a good thing, young , no bills to worry about and pleanty of time. :)

Again, best thing to do with ANY build in ANY car is to plan with the end in mind. And if you are going anywhere north of 200 hp, hope you have a manual trans.

If this is your daily driver - that is a factor...you do have to go to work :)

You then might think about a simple H swap - you get about 50 hp gain.

Then as you enjoy those added ponies, you can think about what you really want to do. A simple rebuild of the old F, small psi boost (turbo)....or if funds are larger then a more in the bottom end of the motor and up the boost.

People have bolted a turbo on a 200K F motor and ran ~8 psi boost (get it tuned) and had it last for some time.....that time depends on how hard you beat on it :). Me being old, it might last 3 years...if you beat on it every day, 3 months.

Bottom line - what is your budget and what is your goal, the two may not be in line......don't take any of this the wrong way.

To be clear your suggestion is to swap a H22 and enjoy the HP gain and work on the f22 while i have the h22 in my car?

Well I 12/per 40 hrs a week. But I have a new born now so that will probably have a little less money then normal

My goal is to maybe reach the 400 hp mark if possible so i can race V6's and sweep the floor with them haha just cuz but i dont really plan on racing racing just want to boost my car.

It is my DD but I dont mind taking the bus to work, plus the closest hospital is within walking distance and my baby doctor is down the street so it shouldnt be a problem if my cars out for like a week or so.

the h22 doesn't like boost with 11:1 compression stock and frm sleeves. The f22(stock engine) loves boost though with 8.8:1 compression stock and steel walls. A stock f22 can make 300hp relatively safely. to make 400hp you'll have to do some internal work if you want it to last. That being said even with 300hp you will be plenty fast(I'd say 13 sec 1/4) your biggest problem will be traction.

A nice 300 would be fantastic for me ! Now the question is where do i start, should i buy a f22 vtec or keep my none vtech with roughly 180k miles ???
