Bigger throttlebody

Back in November I ordered a larger throttlebdy for my '03 V-6 Accord. The place kept sending me the wrong part. They claim tobe Accord specialists but they didn't know I had a throttle by wire- sent me one with a mechanical link. They didn't even know that the 03s' and up were electronic throttles. Needless to say I'm done with them. So does anyone know a source for a larger throttlebody?( Not dealing with Perfomance Accord again)

yea the gude part number hatb04 should be perfect for your car. you may need to put that electronic part on the new body though. talk to one of their people.

Have a local shop bore out the stock unit. Problem solved.

more airflow consistenly... another option/reason on boring out your existing one is that often times in manufacturing there will be burrs and such on the inside which affect airflow. So if you bore it out it allows smoother more consistent airflow. Not a big HP gain but it makes a difference and the more stuff you have added the more difference it will make... that's my experience anyway

How large of a bore would we be talking about on say a 96 f22?

I'm not sure on the specifics of bore size but most of the time the shop just looks at how thick the walls of your stock throttle body is and then takes it out almost as far as they can

is there any draw backs to doing it or any negative effects that could occur?

None that I am aware of... the only thing I know of anyone ever saying might be an issue is the MAF sensor... but I have no personall experience with any of this... Primary use I've seen for it is when someone puts on a turbo with a fuel rail

I finally got the correct part and put it in on weds. Deeper sound more kick even better acceleration.(we had rain ,snow ,sleet and ice yesterday, couldn't try it out fully)
Between the cold air intake, catback and now the larger throttlebody we making some better HP. Could larger fuel injectors be next?
