cambelt replacment

I am just about to take delivery of a accord tourer/estate 2.0 model 2003/4 and first of all does this model still have a cam-belt or is it chain driven and what is the replacement schedule mileage/year if it has a cam-belt

Starting in the 2003 model year, Honda Accords with 4-Cylinder engines sold here in North America came with a timing chain; don't know if the same holds true on your side of the pond.

Cheers for that I hope this model Honda is the same in this country aswel as it could save me a lot of work as I am a tech and have been since 1975 and I know the people I am buying from will probably not want to carry out this work if it needs doing

Just because we don't know enough about the UK cars....

The older (F-series) 4-cyl petrol engine is mounted on the left side of the engine bay (alternator belts are on your passenger side). That one has a camshaft belt.

The newer (K-series) 4-cyl petrol engine has the external drive belt located on the right side of the car (your drivers side). That one has a chain-driven camshaft.

I don't know ANYTHING about what kind of diesel engines Honda would have used, so the above information is probably not true for diesels.
